>>37378864>plenty of romance in the animeDo you mean Serena? A character whose crush on ash was a detrimental aspect of her character and that had to be entirely one sided to not raise numerous difficult questions. There are no children in relationships in the show and the anime is nothing to do with the games outside of tie ins like Yellow and LGPE.
The "numerous instances of teasing in the games" are not grounds for a full fledged dating sim to be implemented concurrently - teasing should be seen as the limits of what the series should touch upon, not a gateway to a different genre entirely.
>raises a simple yes/no questionThe issue of samesex relationships is not a simple yes/no question because if the answer is yes - there will be homophobic backlash and claims that Pokemon is pushing the gay agenda on children. If the answer is no, there will be backlash from the gay community and Pokemon will be portrayed as anti-gay in the same way other series - such as Dragon age and Mass effect - have been heavily criticised for.
>kids don't care about romance. adults aren't part of the taret audianceKids are the primary target audience and believing anything else is wishful thinking on your part. Show me some proof that young children care enough about romance for it to be part of the Pokemon games.
>only the main dex filling and e4 killing content is allowedAbsolutely not what Ive said. New content is welcome but it should be focused on Pokemon instead of trying to introduce dating simulator mechanics so you get to roleplay dating a child.
At no point have I said romance in games doesn't have a market or the potential for profit just that it couldn't be implemented in a worthwhile way to the Pokemon franchise. I asked how you would do it, but you haven't been able to suggest anything other than telling me to imagine it was a different game.
