>>37375488You're right - however, the way LGPE does it is by practically directly converting the original tracks. Compositional changes are minimal to non-existent, even when the original tracks are not suited for an orchestrated nature or just bad in general.
The orchestration isn't exactly creative, either. Sure, it's not necessarily bad, but it's not doing anything interesting with it, like XY Route 15's intro, ORAS' Zinnia theme, or SM's E4 chorus. This is in part due to the fact that the original tracks are not composed with an orchestra in mind, but as stated earlier, this would be fixed by mixing up the compositions a little bit. Or just, you know, maybe not just making 1:1 recreations of the original track. It's like a fucking MIDI slap.
It doesn't even have to be adding new segments. Hell, if they're feeling extra lazy, it doesn't even have to rearrange parts, like how FRLG reignited the intro of the champion theme. It just has to be making changes any sane man would make, like removing whatever the fuck that shitty harmony is during Pokemon Mansion. It's desynced from the rest of the track (causing the loop to be something ridiculous like 7 minutes long), has no melodic value, and has a programming error that causes it to cut out before screeching every 30 or so seconds, and yet there has yet to be an official cover I'm aware of that gets rid of it or even fixes the programming error. Every fucking cover of this track recreates this shit nigh perfectly. You have no idea how mad this makes me.
