Was any of this even in the final game? Why would they show concept art in the announcement then not even include it in the final product?

concept art of sun and moon is so awesome it really looks interesting and hypes you about how the whole region works, everything its so detailed and it looks like one, if not the best region they have ever made

then, they go lazy jew mode as fucking always and manage to fuck up all that cool concept art and turning those cool as fuck locations we saw on the concept art into FUCKING HALLWAYS

Nope, none of it. Except the green truck I think, which is just stationary in some city. The concept art is always more interesting than the games, and I want to believe that they can better reflect their concepts on the more powerful switch hardware.. but it's game freak, so they won't.

The firetrucks were in Malie City as a minor background detail.

The concerning thing about this is that Game Freak is focusing on aspects for minor details rather than actually making a game. They made fucking concept art for hotel rooms and streetlamps

They actually did address it in an interview. It was something about traveling by foot and such that fit the island experience they were going for better, and this was also why they created PokéRide instead.

Every game ends up using like 10% of what was put in concept story and art, that just part of the cycle, SM production begun as soon as XY was done and that's a lot of time to think about everything that was drawn and wrote
They said they wanted to show humans and pokemon working together and this particular concept art evolved into pokeride

actually nothing in this concept art suggest it ever being meant to be explorable, is just showing scales and perspectives and the path the player was gonna take to Ultra Necrozma, pretty much the same ones in the final game.
The differences are the buildings aren't as big in the game and the perspective on the bottom left was probably meant for a cutscene that was never made.

There was far more concept art and past interviews than this which tells you it was about rushing a yearly game out. That they didn't have time, not that they actually decided to not include it because artistic choices.

Teleporting cave holes should tell you that even without the concept art they had for the interior, for example.

Yes in the town where you meet Guzma for the first time there's a fire station with the trucks but the entrance is blocked off by a Hariyama cardboard, it's likely that something was gonna happen there and the firefighters had to intervene but decided to scrap it for whatever reason
