gen 2 might have some nostalgia now, but back in day it felt like a retarded romhack with those terrible designs. Many people like me quit Pokémon at the time because of this. I came back to Pokémon only on gen 4.

Pic related, it was nice to get so many extra perks from having the old games. Gen 3 was an amazing gen on its own, and gen 4 only built on it.

Nop. Although I find HGSS to be more comfy in the gameplay aspect. No need to press A and the smooth movement with the background sound detail (such as stepping on tall grass or getting close to a river and the sound of water comes by).
