Face it, Gen 8 will be on the 3DS. With the Switch doing poorly and only having terrible exclusives and being utterly beaten by Sony, as expected from Nintendo, they will have to resort to the next best thing to sell the new Pokemon game. That being the 3DS. Not only that but Gamefreak already said that it is way too hard to get a Pokemon game onto the Switch, because of how complex the world, gameplay and animations are, the Switch can't handle that.
