i thought the z-moves capped at 200bp? self-destruct and explosion are the only native 200+moves i can think of off the top of my head, both give 'only' 200bp breakneck blitz

Inferno Overdrive off V-Create is 220 BP, which is only a 20% boost, the smallest possible.
Supersonic Skystrike off 200 BP Sky Attack would be at least 240 BP. If it's stronger, with Swords Dance it will be a guaranteed kill on anything in OU without a x4 flying resistance.

Charizard had like zero offensive...defensive...any sort of presence at all even without considering pebbles before megas.

The irony is that both Megas are inferior to making base Charizard a physical attacker

Give base Charizard Drought, and Brave Bird/Dragon Ascent, and now it's better than both Mega forms.
