It doesn't matter that it looks cool while it's swimming like this because in battle it's FLOATING. Like its body is convulsing as if it were propelling itself forward but it is literally staying in the same spot. That's what's wrong with the 3D models and why the flying ones also look terrible. Animations like this are cool but not when they are restricted to one spot.

I mean, surely you've noticed that they always compare models to gen 5 sprites - despite gen 5's sprites being a point of criticism for those games, since so many were copy and pasted from gen 4, since many of the ones that weren't were downgraded, and since others just had weird errors, like >>37393449
