It can do a surprise minisweep if you get lucky and play your cards right. Sniper ability, with Z tailwind not only doubles your speed, but highly improves your critical hit rate. You're faster than mega beedrill, and can do almost as much damage with some luck.
Now it would be nice if Beedrill:
Got cross poison because higher crit rate
They made X scissor have a higher crit rate since there is now no reason to use x scissor over leech life/lunge
They buffed its stats even a little, as in they could even min max it like they did mega beedrill, take away points from its sp attack or awful defense in exchange for more attack
