He basically came up with a theory saying that since Gen 5 the starters have followed pattern where one of each falls in a specific category: waifu, bara, twink.

Gen 5: Serperior(waifu), Emboar(bara), Samurott(twink)
Gen 6: Chesnaught(bara), Delphox,(waifu), Greninja(twink)
Gen 7: Decidueye(twink), Incineroar(bara), Primarina(waifu)

And with that evidence he's said that the pattern should go back to Gen 5's for Gen 8.
