Corphish was great and Torkoal was great, the anime has always been about strength on the inside and not the outside
I liked Sinnoh and Infernape especially but there was nothing wrong with Ash keeping Corphish and Torkoal because they were friends and buddies

Don't get me wrong, I REALLY liked Corpish, but I was hoping for his evolution to appear in the anime. I know evolution means shit, but more often those episodes where the "lesser" unevolved pokemon turns the table just make me think of the hidden potential that was lost on their fully evolved form. Just imagine if Ash's Kanto or even Johto team were fully evolved, we have seen more often that these pokemon were fully capable, but in many of the battles that they lost, I can't help but think that may have had more to do with their lack of endurance in comparison to their evolved form. Anyway, since the anime always come with an usual BS for Ash to lose, I imagine most of that potential is just wishful thinking.

Aside from the funky shit they can throw on Ash's 'Roar upon its evolution, Ash's 'Roar will only share Darkest Lariat with Royal's. Other than that, he's got Flame Charge, Scratch and Fire Fang, which they'll absolutely have it learn something new to replace any of them on evolution, different to Kukui's.

This shit has been set up since MR's 'Roar and Torracat both acknoledged their rivalry. I know the anime loves their "unevolved pokémon beats its evolved cousin" meme, but that's why Rowlet ate that Everstone. Litten's arc since it was first shown properly, was to get stronger. It trained outside its species and type (something Nurse Joy noted as unusual) to master Fire Fang, it took on its fully-evolved form in a bid to evolve. It got its ass kicked in the ep where it evolved and Kukui's 'Roar has been confirmed to have gotten stronger than it was at that point. Only way Torracat will be able to win, is by reaching its full potential and facing off as an equal - 'Roar vs 'Roar.
>forgetting this is the Z-Move show and Torracat still does not have its own sole-use Z-Crystal like the rest of his team
And what's stopping Kukui's 'Roar from deciding Ash's is worthy of respect and gifts them his Z-Crystal? Because I can see this happening.

Well anon, Kukui himself says it - there's NEVER been a Lycanroc like Ash's in the anime and like I said, it only appeared after getting life energy from Ash, it IS an Ash-Lycanroc form, for all intents and purposes.
