>>37401338Initially it was a combination of the stadium animations, Holiday Hi-Jynx episode and a guide pointing me to the trade in Red that made me like it. I ended up using it in the team I first beat the game with so it's always had a special place.
As I've gotten older though, I just find the concept of it really interesting. In a weird way, Jynx makes complete sense, it's a pokemon that has evolved specifically to emulate human females and the results are overly exaggerated features that leave it not quite human or pokemon.
If Pokemon were real I think there's a high chance that something like Jynx would exist and I love that it was one of their earliest ideas because the concept is brilliant to me. It occupies a completely unique human/pokemon space and has much more right to the characteristics it possesses than something like Primarina, with its ridiculous hair, or Bert and Ernie with their Gi.
I also really like the hair; specifically it levitating when it uses psychic moves. Thanks to stadium I did think it was a ghost for like 7 years.
