I'll be honest... I intend to not bother with Gen 8 if it doesn't have all of the content and backups but I might actually buy that even if it were as shit content wise as Gen 6 and 7
hating myself the whole time, of course.
I don't dislike Johto but I do respect Gen 4 (to be more precise, Sinnoh which has been my least favorite region since it existed) more now, seeing that it contained a large amount of the cut content from the original Gen 2 beta.
I feel like Pokémon has been a perfect example of an author needing to focus on creating what they know. The moment they left Japan based regions everything was a mess.
