I played the 3 Gym demo. I somewhat enjoy the Pokemon designs which have a Gen 5 feel.

Slowly but surely, anon. We don't have any tilers active right now so we have to placehold a lot of our mapping work, but otherwise we're making nice progress. Might make a Sage Sunday soon since we just kinda stopped doing those and stuff's piled up that y'all haven't seen.
Have some of the Desert Cave. This is the top floor, so how the hell are you supposed to do something about that hole to get past? Step one is to ignore the RSE rips and the programmer placeholder art.

2-stage and the third is a mega. Given how long it was in development, I can only imagine that they were originally 3-stage until megas came out and the devs decided to immediately force the lines to shove mega mechanics in the player's face thinking that was actually a good idea

dunsparce evo, ground dragon on the upper right, the grey and blue ram, and brown dog with three tails are the only remotely good mons here.
i feel like whoever designed these doesnt have a grasp on what fundamentally makes a good pokemon design or color theory and just went wild with clasing vibrant colors and unnessesary design choices. still, props to whoever put in the work to make all this, thats not easy and they were clearly passionate.

Technically any romhack as long as the header remains the same, but it's probably going to corrupt the legit cart's save data.
Crystal Clear would be the safest one to trade with since it's essentially just Crystal with all the HM roadblocks taken out.

Demo ran like hot garbage, I hope they ironed out the kinks by now but I'm not sure how much of it can be fixed considering Essentials. Fakemon designs are hit-or-miss, but there's definitely some good ones in there. I'm glad they got new starters, the original grass starter was the only good one of the three.
Also major props to the OST for not sticking with the usual gen 5 soundfont and doing its own thing, it sounds great.
