>>37425845>I have is to rework the grass cloak to be a solid mass rather than two separate strands, and have it flow down into a sort of storm cloud shape (think Raikou). Perhaps also give it some antlers (as it is a deer) with a subtle thunderbolt shape to them? This is what I was particularly trying to avoid. Just borrowing other attributes from other Pokemon. If I were to add antlers, there's nothing stopping people from calling it "green Stantler" or "anthro Sawsbuck" or "green Xerneas." The design is more based off a female deer to better connect to the idea I had in mind. We already have 3 deer Pokemon with antlers, I don't think we need another.
Which I think justifies it completely. nd honestly I'd prefer "green Lopunny" or "anthro Deerling" or even "furbait Shaymin." Because at least those better reflect the ideas.
>>37425887>The thing has the body of a supermodelThats the point.
>Decidueye>physical prowessNothing about it's design implies it's a physical or close quarters fighter. If we're being honest.
>>37425965>And the fact you had to explain what it was is an issue itself. Not really. There's plenty of already established Pokemon and Fakemon deisgns that aren't blatant in their inspiration but yet are still regarded as good. Once you find out what it's based, and you're able to connect the dots the design becomes more "whole."
For example: Granbull and Slurpuff (while not the best designs by any means) becomes a lot more interesting when you look into the ideas, and you're able to connect the dots. Same goes with Garchomp, Lucario, Golurk, etc.
Most of us wouldn't know what most Pokemon was actually based on if it weren't explained. If you think otherwise, you're bring totally disingenuous.
Pic related are generic female druids (if you think I'm cherry picking, google it yourself.)
