>>37410227Start with 2. While the you can't control your monsters you really gotta stay on top of who's out at all times and when to use your special moves. I've nearly had my shit pushed in a couple times to bosses, as many of them can punish you if you're not active enough. There's also a lot of side and post game content to explore. The game starts off a little tutorial heavy but you can speed through them. Though if there's one thing in the game that's absolutely shit it's the fucking recruitment system.
I haven't played 3 yet but that one makes the combat grid based and, from what I've heard, makes the recruitment easier.
