>>37412450That's just tedious, Anon. What the game needs first and foremost is better AI that takes advantage of the mechanics in the game, as opposed to "if opponent weak to x use x". Without that, not only is any difficulty you add artificial difficulty that doesn't force the player to improve but instead just to grind or stock up on items, the game will not be teaching the player anything beyond the very bare basics and said player will ultimately be oblivious to any possible depth or threats should they want to get into battling other human players. Even if the game was still easy with better AI, it'd at least be more engaging - take something like Colosseum where there's a lot of memorable battles just because they utilise a random strategy, regardless of how effective that strategy is.
