I've actually watched this all the way through back when it came out. I had it on in the background while playing a game and he brings up a lot of good points. Definitely worth listening to in the background while doing something else, maybe give it a like.

He's also very self aware of how long the vid is.

Yes. The idea that the player that starts with nothing more than a single potion and a critter that's on fire being the only person in the whole country that carries 6 pokemon is absurd. Pokemon games are already too easy when one can just grind to achieve a level advantage over everything, the last thing it needs are more revered gym leaders that pose little more threat than a casual bug catcher.

I enjoyed it. I wish there was more content as thorough, thoughtful, and insightful as this, whilst also being amusingly self-aware or otherwise just humourous in general. Beats the endless barrage of Top 10s and 'theories' videos.

The video reflects a lot on the franchise as a whole, particularly its direction, rather than just ORAS, in case anyone's hesitant by the subject in relation to the time rather than just the time itself.

I would love to see a followup given Let's Go.

It's actually a great analysis of the game, and of Pokemon's modern direction as a whole. ORAS is a good game to look at for such a discussion, given that we have the original RSE / Generation 3 for direct comparison.

It's a shame that this will be glossed over by many due to the length, because most Poketubers don't really go in-depth on Pokemon's successes and failures as a game.

I wasted fucking hours watching this garbage a while back. I had hoped it would contain value. This thing is SEVEN FUCKING HOURS. I got to a point where he pitched about anime females and idols and shit, and I was willing to look past that. I thought "hey he has terrible taste and is probably gay but I can look past that. maybe he isn't too bad." I was willing to look past that.

Then he fucking mentioned hbomber in a positive light. Goddamn hbomber. And this was near the end of the fucking video. He couldn't have said it at the very fucking beginning so I could have known his opinion was trash. No he had to wait to the fucking end. I ain't getting that 6 or so hours back. God I'm so pissed, anyone hoping for a big in depth analysis of a Pokemon game, this shit ain't it. Avoid like the fucking plague, this guy has terrible opinions, terrible tastes, and his opinions should be disregarded.
