How was /vp/ during DP era? It couldn’t have been this bad when the games got delayed and all we had were spinoffs. Could it?
Did /vp/ even like DP when they released?

/vp/ didn't exist int he dp era, we all hung out on /v/ and had pokemon generals there but counting that when dp came out it things were very different from now.

Pokemon was still not "cool" to be liked by gamers in general, tons of May lewd fan art was posted and then Dawn lewd fan art and in general people liked the games it wasn't until later that they complained they were "slow", the honeymoon period for dp was long enough that we didn't mind it.

The wait from GenIII to IV was really long too, that even GF knew it so they came up with the moniker of "Road to DP", the community was smaller and more friendly, less hoenn babbies complaining about Gen 1 and people just excited to see new Pokemon. I think /vp/ was created right around HGSS came out IIRC

I used to browse Serebii's forums back in high school, 2003-2006 or so, then dipped out of Pokémon during college. Discovered 4chan during the XY leak season, those were good times. I usually only check back in now during leak season. Hope we get some Gen8 stuff soon.

I remember go starting in late 2010, around when BW was just released. There were a lot more meme threads and creative topics. I miss comparing Pokemon to kids from school. Also a lot more image dumps, sometimes porn.
