Would it be possible to have a Pokémon game in this life time
That’s run like a regular Pokémon game but the battles are run smash bros or just fighting game style and that’s how you would fight? I just think that would be a cool addition to the series if they could pull that off it would definitely make me buy it and I think it would bring in more demographics and all around a good refreshing addition to the series, thoughts?

Maybe not fighting game style but something faster paced than turn based RPG

That is a relic of the past and a lot of previously turn based rpg franchises are doing away with it. The only ones that haven’t yet are series that are more stagnant than Pokémon(ie dragon quest). It was fine when Pokémon was confined to the gameboy but people expect something better out of switch games.

Yeah you are right and I hope Nintendo gets their heads out of their asses and realizes that sales are going down for Pokémon because of it. They just seem to not be able to come up with new ideas to make Pokémon more interesting. I want to see this brand go down with a fight. That’s not saying that I thinks it’s dying right now I can just see the disappointment of old fans and the slow of new. And it’ll catch up eventually, I just hope they come up with something not akin to “wow you can play pkmn red, WITH FULL CHARACHTER SPRITES ON THE SWITCH, WOW REVOLUTIONARY, this will totally bring in new cosomers and have a lot of longevity and not just be a reach baced of the past clout of the series!” Ya know? Man I just hope pokemon doesn’t die like an old horse.

I want them to try something new. And the Pokémon strategy is watered down. The main Series games have just became different color cloaks over the same skeleton and it’s getting boring and their running out of ideas.

There's a fangame called Pokemon Reloaded where you basically control your pokemon in battles and are able to dodge the attacks and do all the sorts of stuff you would normally imagine how a battle would go, though I would say that it's not for everyone. The fangame's in spanish, but the devs have made an english translation to it.
