>>37431151I like that Poliwrath was, for the longest time, the only Water/Fighting Pokemon in the entire game. And to this day, Poliwrath is still the only dual Fighting-type in Gen I. However, Poliwrath suffers in large part because it was introduced from Gen I; it, like most other Gen I Pokemon, have middle-of-the-road stats instead of specializing in certain areas like many recent Pokemon. Poliwrath is pretty mediocre in game, especially when Keldeo exists.
