the first two gens, Kanto and Johto are the best regions by Pokemon designs. Venonat, Venomoth, Clefable, Lickitung, Lapras, Jynx, Mr. Mime, Magmar, Electabuzz, Pinsir, Scyther, Haunter, Ditto, even Electrode. Sure it may be just a ball, but it's facial expressions give it soul. Sure ditto is just a blob, but the fact that it's a blob is perfect for it's gimmick: transforming. ya know how clay in it's purest form is just a blob? that's the same as ditto, ditto is just like clay: in it's purest form, it's a blob, but it can transform into anything
