Given that LGPE has bombed in sales and the SM anime is the most hated season ever, it looks like Pokemon is dead unless Gen 8 is something as good as Gen 5, or better.

Stop ignoring the facts, for one of the biggest franchises in the world, 3 million in sales in games - what the franchise is mostly known for - is very, very piss poor.
Not only did it not get the sales a franchise this big should be getting, it didn't boost Switch sales either which is what Nintendo were probably banking on, Gen 8 is what will push sales, not a rehash of a game thats had it's time multiple times.
Pokemon being anywhere under Top 5, hell being under Top 10 is a massive failure for a franchise this big, even with the KANTOOOOOOO and GO pandering.

For peasants maybe, but pathetic compared to other Pokemon games, Battlefront II sold around 9 Million copies yet that's a total flop by their standards, much better than LGPE though, which is sad considering this is the largest franchise int he world. Have some standards.
