>>37442856So here are in my opinion the three best Pokemon anime centered around humans:
>Origin>Generations>BW2 TrailerAll three have pros and cons, none of them are perfect.
With regard to Origin, it has a good artstyle, excellent animation, great Japanese voice acting. It's short, maybe too short---it could have benefitted from an FLCL 6-episode structure rather than 4 episodes, but it was still entertaining for what it was.
Battles go by way too quickly, losing their impact. Giovanni gym battle is the biggest offender, where Red gets trashed for the most of it but then pulls a miraculous comeback that is a total affront to the games' logic.
Red isn't black-haired Red but that's okay. It's good that they didn't try to make FrLg Red original Red, but he does end up with a generic Shonen personality instead.
The anime has the best portrayal of Giovanni ever. Not just in motivation, but in artstyle too.

I return to the Deoxys episode at least a few times a season now.
