Chrono Trigger had glitches too. Games have glitches. None of the gen 1 glitches are absolutely gamebreaking and there's nothing wrong with the compared to contemporary Gameboy games. In fact they're better programmed and crafted than a lot of Gameboy games. Most Gameboy games were simply not good games, nor were they well constructed.
