Both sexes use the cloaca to excrete both urine and fecal matter, while for females it is additionally used for copulation. Male genitals are stored inside the body separately, with the exception of the tuatara, which have only cloaca and instead reproduce by pressing them together.
On that note, male squamates (i.e. snakes, lizards, and worm lizards) differ from crocodilians and turtles in that they possess a hemipenis - a pair of organs that come in a variety of shapes and ornamentations varying by species, such as hooks or spines.
