With Nintendo restarting Metroid Prime 4, seems the next Pokemon might be the next big Switch title. Does that make you more excited for it, or more concerned about it?

Pokémon was always going to be the next big one and I'm no more or less concerned. I'm already concerned because you know it'll be more trash if it releases this year.

5+ years for a Game Boy game and at most 4 for an HD game with all of the content because unlike Gen 6 it has zero excuses to be found unless you're a complete and utter brainlet? Yeah, no.

Fire Emblem is daunting enough in it's scope I don't want to play it.

I mean there's what, 50 FE titles and each of them is in the same world and timeline to the point where half of the current main characters are decendents of the first game's main characters and those who aren't either worship or know all about the first game's characters...

I would end up having to start from the very beginning and ain't nobody got time for that

The games are like final fantasy in that they're mostly just separate stories from each.
If you want to try out the series, play Awakening. Its made with easing newcomers into the franchise, and personally, it was the game that got me playing Fire Emblem.

Just skip all the old games unless you actually want to play them.
