It probably will in 8th gen. The fixed camera in Gen 7 probably helped them avoid frame drops, which shouldn't be a problem on the Switch's stronger hardware.
This of course assumes we're getting a brand new engine made from scratch and not just USUM's engine with better rendering, in which case they'd probably take the lazy route - but I don't think that's going to happen.

why can't people just respect that gamefreak is a very small studio on a limited budget with a lot of constraints and overhead. Lots of pokemon's money goes toward the anime, advertising, and other endeavors. Making games is really hard, and they're doing the best we can, alright? Please keep supporting gamefreak, eventually they'll grow into a larger studio, and be able to make larger games, but only if experiments like Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let's Go Eevee succeed.

TemTem is built in Unity engine. Any developer can drop in some 3D models to make a good looking game.

TemTem also looks hideous, but that's mostly because the monster design is really plain and chibi, and spics have an unhealthy obsession with bright orange, pale pink, and lemon yellow.

Monolith Soft has even less employees than Gamefreak yet still still manage to put out far more ambitious and higher quality games, probably because they actually put time into them rather than trying to churn out a new release every year.

I'm convinced Game Freak is under a contractual obligation to pump games out on a yearly basis. No devteam, not even an incompetent one, would choose to pressure their staff to release mediocre title year after year.

This would be a fixable issue if they would just have two or three teams constantly working where only one team needs to release a game in a given year so each team is working on a game for 2-3 years while the company is still getting those yearly sales. How big is Gamefreak at this point anyway? Didn't they just do a big hiring spree or am I mixing them up with another nintendo related team?

Does GF actually only have one team working on main series Pokemon? That can't be right. Even the big rehash-heavy Western franchisees like Call of Duty have multiple teams and 2-3 year dev cycles.

GameFreak actually seems to care about Town even if they're incompetent, compared to Pokemon which they've completely lost all passion for given that they've essentially been making the exact same game for over 20 years almost every year.

No, they have a group of mostly veterans who always work on the games which add a new region/pokédex et al and then they have another team comprised of junior/newer/less experienced staff who do remakes/upper versions. HG/SS was the first game the primary team didn't make as they were balls-deep into BW at the time.

LGPE even gets frame drops

Gamefreak is just a bad developer. I mean look at the 3ds games. Yes, the 3ds was weaker, but that shouldn't be an issue for Gamefreak because they only needed to develop for that system and nothing else. If their vision doesn't work on the system they want, save it for later

Like weak hardware is only an excuse when talking about ports and such. It is not an excuse when the company only develops for that system. If they can't even properly develop for the system they develop for, then that's THEIR fault. Not the hardware.

Doesn't LGPE run on the same engine as SM? I figured if it had frame drops that'd be due to porting issues.

Also I'm pretty sure gen 7 was made for the New 3DS; playing US on my N3DS, I only get frame drops in double battles.
But that's not what I'm talking about. I'm saying that the fixed camera angle likely helped AVOID frame drops, by allowing them to have fairly precise control over what has to be rendered at once. This shouldn't be a issue on the Switch.
