I really don't want another gen 2 remake since HGSS is my favorite game in the franchise, I just want to see Ethan and Silver like we do with Red and Blue at least once.

I suppose, I'm just really not a fan of lgpe and it's not even in the canon of the main games...it's not even confirmed if there's going to be a LGPE for Johto anyway.

In terms of gameplay sure, but the story would have to be set in an alternate universe because it goes against both the original verse and the mega evolve universe. Not to mention that it's a different Red, Blue and Green based on designs and roles in the game.

Multiverse theory and shit. It's "canon", but it doesn't take place in the same universe as RBY/FRLG, which arguably is set as the main canon by most games. Masuda is clearly just trying to deviate people from saying that it's a spinoff title with no relevance to the main series, but we all know that isn't true.

Honestly I don’t really want to.
