I play the game as intended the first time, sure. But after that, I want to give a fair shake to the pokemon I want to use.

I don't give a shit how people enjoy their games, but you have to admit you need to at least put a little work into getting a fully evolved pseudo-legendary most of the time. Their power is more of a reward for putting in the time to level up their weak pre-evolutions, rather than just waiting for the ball-rng to work in your favor.
