I hope (but definitely don't expect) that Pokemon Switch is the same quality as BOTW and a similar step away from their predecessors, not literally like BOTW aka as an open world, real time battle game, but a detractor from the visual novel, waifu anime bullshit that has been the last two (or even arguably three or even four) gens. Bring back the focus on the gameplay, on the Pokemon

Reggie's job is literally to market games to Americans. He is likely in on any project that has progressed past prototyping.

Because they didn't want you to just use the same weapon for the whole game. You're absolutely showered with good stuff anyway; conservation is only really a concern for top-tier weapons.

Game Freak have a company policy similar to google's 20% thing, which means staff can work on personal projects up to 20% of their work week, providing they're on top of their company work and if they attract enough attention from other staff they get to pitch it as a game idea and if enough senior staff like it, they get a budget and staff for it. Harmoknight is the most prominent example, conceived and eventually directed by James Turner. TOWN feels exactly like something to come out of this policy, especially during a pokémon release cycle (for reference, Harmoknight eventually had 14 staff credits all told). Be shocked if more than 25 people worked on this by the end frankly.
