I found it strange that no regular Trainer even used it in SM. They also could've given it to Olivia or Kahili. I wonder if it was one of the last Pokemon added

It's probably a design choice to make them seem more mystical and weird. so much so that noone is brave enough to train them like unown in gen 4

Pic related are GF's first try in grass/ghost and they absolutely failed. Pumpkaboo sizes are interesting and phantump isnt far behind, their designs are well done and could've easily been the mascot of the generation if more focus is put on them in-game. But nooo they're only accessible on an optional route and have only one ugly looking shitty evo locked behind trade when they can easily be part of a strong 3-part evo line

They need to switch the way Shields Down and Emergency Exit work. Shields Down needs to be able to activate in the middle of a turn, that way Minior can hit hard at least once before it gets wrecked by priority. Emergency Exit needs to check Golisop's HP at the end of the turn rather than activate before it attacks.

You'll see for yourself I guess, rock is a really bad type, it's special defense is really low, and it's speed isn't exactly great.
I really like how it looks but I can't help but feel gimped having it on my team.

I think the design is okay overall but it would've been so much better without those stupid looking glasses, they easily bring it down by several notches for me. It would've been great if they made the cowl cast more of a shadow so that only the eyes were visible under it or something, would've really helped to cement it as a Ghost type too.

Its biggest problem is just that it can't wall break well, so it's easy to play around. It's usable in higher tiers if you're willing to play around that. Most aren't.
