It would've been better for them to redesign Kanto to not have to conform to an outdated grid system retard, but naturally since that would actually take effort Game Freak avoided that like the plague. Doing 3D should hardly be a hard task for them anyway, they've had 5 chances already to get it right and they still suck at it

Models and animations are already there from 3ds games, that's the hardest part. Making a 3d world of this quality is easy as fuck, just making some tilesets. Even the map design is straight lifted from gen 1.

It's a good thing they went from an old 3d game to a new 3d game, because this is literally upscaled engine from 3ds games.

And NOW they get to charge 60 dollars for the game because it's on switch and literally no other reason.
