Last night Athena came to me in a dream. She told me "Anon, if you leak any of this I will turn your bones into snakes- your bones- snakes- do you understand?" before going off about the new pokemon generation. I don't know what she said word for word considering I don't speak ancient greek but here is what I picked up:
>The new generation is set in some strange amalgamation of Victorian and mid-eval England; we have Big Ben as a set piece but people are running around in armor and crap- it was super jarring.
>starters are a dumb looking monkey thing, a centaur, and a really big guineapig.
>I tried getting armor in my play time but was stuck with a hide vest and jeans
>No multiplayer like in Let's Go, believe me I tried- this game is hard.
>Pokemon spawn in the overworld like in let's go, you battle them again.
>Pokeballs look like nuts now, I have no idea why.
>Z-Moves are gone, Megas are the focus again and you still can't skip the god-damn cutscene.
>It took me a full 30 minutes to get from the starting town to the first town, I am bad at pokemon games but not THAT bad so we may just be getting a big map.
>Gyms are replaced with Kingdoms, they are basically gyms and trials mixed together only without the fun of discovery from trials and the catharsis of battling one person after another.
>the game looks like gen 7 in HD, pokemon still look like in let's go and don't move much in battle.

Fuck my bones are snakes now.
