The new region is a “recent” continent that has been discovered around 50~70 years ago. The player comes from Hoenn and is invited by it’s uncle to live with him on this newly town, where people are being encouraged to live. Your uncle is friends with the PokemonProfessor, and both are working to study the environments of this region, and how it affect Pokemon. The professor tells you that there are 7 main settlements, each one with it’s own Warden, and that they are the ones who are responsible to oversee the trainers who wish to make up to the Pokemon League that was assembled by one of the Tycoons that first came to the region. The player is encouraged by its uncle to take the Warden Challenge and travels around the region. There are many areas in the place with strange effects, that produce special characteristics to Pokemon (kinda like the alolan auras from Totem Pokemon). There are some natives on this place that don’t like the immigrants, and challenge them to fights. The player also meets a evil group who is trying to use the nature changes to produce stronger pokemon and sell them on the black market. When these two groups collide, a crisis happens that end by waking up an ancient pokemon that was a guardian of this region. The player must go in a trial and retrieve the artifact that will allow him to calm the guardian, and eventually, capturing it. With the crisis over, and the 7 Wardens defeated, the player returns home and is challenged by it’s uncle, who has now been appointed as the 8th Warden.
