I'm completely ready to stop buying Pokemon games altogether if gen 8 continues down the awful spiral that game freak is on.

I now actually wish I had skipped every traditional 3DS era Pokemon game outside of USUM. Honestly with how sterile and same-y the games have been since XY, if I only played USUM, I don't think I would feel like I missed anything.

You didn't already? Sun and Moon was the final straw for me. If Gen 8 goes down the same path Gamefreak can go fuck right off. At least I can invest my time in better games if it should happen.
