Wow, uh, I guess you guys were kind of right. I got LGPE thinking that /vp/ saying the game is bad is just this board being retarded again like with the gen 7 hate. But man, this game is not great. It's not the end of the world bad like /vp/ says but it is definitely a bad game.
>the catching mechanic is boring, at first it's nice to catch things quickly but later in the game it justs devolves into pokeball spam and hoping it just works
>the lack of items is not a big deal but pokemon lacking abilities feels really shit. No more pickup farming items or static rng pulling a fight back at the last minute
>you have no attachment to your pokemon, you catch such a massive volume of pokemon that all level together easily that it feels like I'm commanding an army rather than traveling with my team
>the game lasts about 8 hours before you finish the story, I finished it in 2 days and returned it afterwards. And yes, I did the endgame content like master trainers for my favorite pokemon.
>eevee makes the game braindead. I just can pick eevee and destroy any gym even underleveled, which I rarely am anyway.
>catching pokemon as a method to level I found really grindy and boring, even by RPG standards. No thought whatsoever just spam pokeballs.
If I were to rate the game fairly I'd give it a 4/10. The game looks nice visually and the cutscenes are cool to watch as someone who played yellow as a kid but the game is seriously lacking in content, it's a $20 game with a AAA pricetag. If you are on the fence about buying it for the nostalgia, just play the original gen 1 games, they're much better at this and it terms of quality they're about the same as LGPE. inb4
>he le bought lmao ecks dee.
Yes I regret buying it but you fucking idiots were wrong about USUM being bad so I figued you were wrong about LGPE.
