This, the fact they kept the "realistic" pokémon of Detective Pikachu still so close to the official art in style proves this. Besides Masuda said they'd tried a realistic style for Pokémon and didn't feel it worked. If the creators don't see it working, I don't know why spergs keep insisting it should be.

imo, pokemon would look better with a persona 5 aesthetic than trying to look like xenoblade. p5 has a good middle ground between anime and realism.

That scene where Klaus/The Architect basically explains the party that he fucked up beyond recognition by doing a stupid experiment, and that they are all his vain attempts to make everything better and atone for his mistake. Rex just thanks him for creating him, right before his other half is destroyed by the heroes of the first game in another universe. He's able to find some peace before disappearing

There are only really two scenes like that in the main story (the one in the webm being one of them) and they're both gotten out of the way early in the game, within a couple of hours of one another.
The one other instance is at the end of a sidequest that I still haven't seen after 185 hours of playing.

I'm on chapter 12 and after I got flight, my interest kinda diminished. Now I'm just trying to beat the game as fast as possible. Sidequests are top notch... but I guess I just dont like weak main plots. It also doesn't help that all the main quests need you to waste your two slots on the two main females. Would have been much more enjoyable to do main quests with anyone.

The beginning of the game had me hooked though.
