I think you're mixing up gaits. Cats usually pace at their normal speed, meaning they move both legs on one side of the body before moving the two on the other side. They move to a diagonal pace at higher speeds, which is what most mammals use for their normal speeds.

This kind of pissed me off when I was looking at gaits in the past when I noticed Delcatty wasn't using this gait, so I decided it wasn't reliable to figure out what animal they were supposed to be based on. Flareon and Leafeon's gaits would be the closest to a cat's, not Espeon and Umbreon's.

I just KNOW that GF made this for USUM, with the whole thing of you interacting with NPC pokémon in overworld and they walk at you, and also the fact that in cutscenes, Hau starter follows him and the way he sends it at battle is just like HGSS.

They made all this for USUM but they are so garbage at programming that they scrapped it

They at least later used the Gen 1 animations in LGPE, and considering how beyond-positively Overworld Encounters were received from a universal perspective, we'll probably get to see a lot more of them in Gen 8.

No, this is the easy way. You don't know what else will break whenever such a glitch could occur. It's essentially the same as giving every pokemon (even shiny locked ones) a shiny form, or giving Pokemon that were never distributed as Dream World Pokemon in Gen V hidden abilities, or giving Arceus sprites for ??? Type.

They do this all the time.

I don't think you understand what a T-pose is. And we still know fuck all about the game that'll first use these, for all we know the Pokedex might allow for viewing walking/running animations.

It's the default pose for a model, ie without animations, no? Obviously most Pokemon wouldn't be capable of doing a "true" t-pose due to their body shape but you get the idea.
