If you want to waste your time feel free to do so. I still do SRs and REs in older gens, but nugen shiny hunting is more fun.

Agree. Shinies should be something that spices up an adventure, not a goddamn job. It's like the difference between getting a lucky hand in the final round of a card game vs just sitting alone and shuffling a pack of cards until you get a good hand. One is a cool story, the other is weaponised autism, even if both are technically the same thing.

There’s a difference between the pride in having the base odds ultra rare alternate skins because you spent month(s) of your life doing the same thing over again, versus the satisfaction that you chained a Pokémon encounter and were given a shiny form for your patience and (sometimes, depending on the species base capture rate) frustrations with fleeing Pokémon, and the difference is autism.
If you think LGPE shinies don’t count, go back to playing three Pokémon games at a time till you finally get one then, but I seriously don’t have time to grind for shinies at base odds.
It’s not fun and I feel like I wasted my life instead of fulfilled. I am bewildered by the sky high horse base odds shiny hunters are on.

you're right, games should be easy. they should make gen 1 again but way easier. everything should be casual. pokemon isn't hard, but it would be better if it was even easier in every way. as i've gotten older, i don't want things to be more complicated or harder in any way, i want them to become super easy.

it's easier to get shinies from breeding without shiny charm and without masuda method in gen 7

That's good. It's actually still too high in cases like when you fucking spend the time to do it and get locked out because "muh new Gen game catch only" which promotes cheating for competitive.

Easiest way to solve that is to simply make dress up a thing for the Pokémon so people don't feel the need to get something rarer like that when they can directly customize.

They could set it back to 8192 no matter what and no one would care then.
