They stopped being "Legendary" in Gen 1 when you were able to capture them, as well as the fact that a man-made Pokemon like Mewtwo qualified as one.

I'd actually prefer six legendaries and one mythical.
Besides the box trio, I want to have a second trio that I can hunt down in the post-game - like the birds, cats, lake spirits, and musketeers.

USUM still has as many legendaries+mythics as gen 5, and gen 7 as a whole has even more because of Meltan and Melmetal.

Version exclusive roamers(Like Latis and Kamis)

And finally they should repeat this idea from Deoxys in 3rd gen but item based:
Mythical with version exclusive form
It will have two items for each transformation
But the items will be untradable. Impossible to get without hacking

If the UBs aren't Legendary Pokemon, then why do they have the same Green Background as Lesser Legendaries like the Tapus, Type:Null and Silvally?
Why are they filtered out of GTS Search Results if you choose not to search for people who want Legendaries?

This please. Or at least make the legendaries connected to actual lore in the games that make you know why they're special like Gen 4 events. Even though I love Marshadow, just handing you five mythicals and calling it a day is just underwhelming.

Because they're "legendiaries" of our dimension, not in theirs. So in the lore aspect, they aren't legendaries.

As well-intentioned as this would be, Legendary Pokemon are usually extremely powerful with far higher BSTs than other existing Pokemon. In a game with over 800 options to choose from, I'd rather have the new Pokemon be much more competitively viable. Most Legendaries have the stats, typing, movepool, and abilities to do well in competitive. I don't want yet another Raticate clone.
