I reay like how it was revealed. It caused so much controversy and unlike other recent mythical it was actually a mystery, which is exactly how a mythical should be. The Pokémon itself was cool, it was ment specifically to loo like a gen 1 mon which it did pretty well

I think they could’ve done a lot better on that front, I would’ve preferred some toriyama eyes and a more animal-like design for it to be successful and I’m by no means in love with gen 1

I thought it was really bland to the point where I bought into the placeholder theory. Then it was revealed and I forgot about it for a few months. I saw melmetal posted a few times but I guess I didn't really register that it was a Pokemon.
