>>37501729>GhostI want to say Froslass because its lore just does not work as an evolution to something - where does the dead woman come from? Does the spirit hijack Snorunt's evolution? Is the spirit stuck in the Dawn stone? I'm also not a big fun of its teeny tiny moe mouth when the other two in its family have very prominent teeth, the design would be a lot cooler if it was hiding a monster jaw behind that mask. If that feels like weak reasoning then Decidueye but I'd rather not be on /vp/ when talking about the Alola starters.
>ElectricVoltorb. Didn't really need both Voltorb and Electrode, but I think Electrode is a lot more enjoyable since it can exude a lot of personality that rounds off the mimic concept. Imagine getting tricked by one and being greeted with that smug smirk.
>PsychicMesprit. The three lake clones are all lame, having three of them is an insult, Mesprit's "hair" just looks bad and the pink is a lot less appealing than Uxie's yellow/Azelf's blue shade are to their bodies.
>IceVanillish. I like the family and I like the stage-by-stage progression but it wasn't needed in the grand scheme of things. Unless you really hate Vanillite's body and Vanilluxe's two heads/straw, you're gonna like one of them over it.
>DragonAs much as I love Goodra, it did take away its pre-evos main appeals and regressed as a result. The only Dragons I really think are bad are the Lati-Megas but I don't think they should be counted as their own designs.
>DarkStunky. Sucks to say it since it and Skuntank are some of my favourites but Stunky isn't exactly the most exciting design nor do I think the line deserves the Dark typing. Feels like they're only "Dark" because people in-universe dislike their stench and that's weak reasoning.
>SteelAlola-Diglett again. If no dupes, just take my reasoning for Vanillish and reword it so that it can apply to Klink.
>FairyCleffa or Igglybuff. Yet again, not necessarily bad but not necessarily... necessary.
