>>37502324Firstly the coloring and shadows are too solid. Compare the shadows on Entei's chest fur to the shadows on Solgaleo's hind leg, for one. It's just a clear cut from the lighter areas to the base color to the shadows. This could be attributed to his body being steel (or at least I assume so) but it is a persistent problem across all of gen 7's art.
Then there's the colors being very bright otherwise. I like bright colors of course, but I feel that the slightly more muted colors on the gen 3 art fit better with the 'Pokemon' look.
Designs are too busy. Lunala is fine, but Necrozma and Solgaleo have all these random details that they could have gone without.
Necrozma is also just a retarded design in general since it's difficult to tell what the hell is going on with it and is just not very recognizable, especially not recognizable as a Pokemon since it doesn't even have the same sort of art style.
