Rattata from Gold but it was on an emulator and I encountered it while going to Mr. Pokemon.

Real cart was Sableye from Emerald, it just showed up as I was grinding in Dewford Cave. It was my only Gen 3 shiny and my next shiny was in Y with Shiny Pidgey.

When Pokemon Bank first showed up I made sure that Sableye made it there.

One of the first Pokemon I caught in Gold. Unfortunately, I had no fucking idea what shiny pokemon were back then and how rare they were so I eventually started a new game down the line.

Also doesn't help that my friend caught a shiny pokemon a few minutes after me making me think they were a lot more common than they are.

My true first one was a shiny poochyena but I reset my game because I thought it was a glitch and didn't want to have my game corrupted.

This is my second one and first one I caught.
Didn't reset for it, infact I think I just failed to catch the previous one that appeared.

It was in Crystal version. I bought into rumors that if you did these specific steps, and then fished outside of Mt. Mortar, you would get a Gold Magikarp you could use to make other pokemon shiny. So I did it, and ended up getting this instead.

It was the summer of 2007 and we were out on vacation. I had beaten pearl a while ago and was now on a quest to fill the national dex which brought me into the great marsh. Enter biberal, shiny. How was I to know? The glare on my ds screen from the august sun made the already subtle shiny unoticable. When the particle effect triggered I thought it was just it having an item. Anyways, I ran from it as I was hunting carnivine I believe. Wasn't till later that trip I realized my mistake. I actually found one recently during a diamond nuzlocke so w/e I guess I reclaimed it 12 years later.
