Why exactly is B/W2 so much more beloved than B/W1? I honestly feel B/W2 is just a downgrade of the original. It has this odd vibe I only get from gen 2.

People need to be able to use their eevees and lucarios, even better if they get them early game
b2w2 are fine pokemon games but they have really sloppy distribution to appease a certain portion of their fanbase

Mostly post-game content in all honesty, it fixed and added a lot. As far as the main-line story and general progression goes, I too feel B/W are the superior of the two. But B/W2 definitely has a far better end-game, and honestly even Pokedex.

As much as I love Gen 5, I like being able to use old and new mons in my playthrough (usually for replaying). I always use new mons on my first playthrough of a new gen, but that doesn't mean everyone should. If I buy a gen 12 game, I would hope to be able to see gens 1-11 in it, really I wish that you could get every pokemon up to that game's amount, but I'm sure that's just a dream

The huge distribution is why so many people like X/Y more and rightly so.

I don't give a fuck about Eevees and Lucario, what a fucking retarded projection. They actually give a reason to put these new pokémon and for the first time we got a sequel who fix all the retarded things on BW1 story. A third game who was not a rehash or "alternate story", but a new way to see the region. Difficult was way better and exploration is amazing. Linear way to walk on BW1 was fucking boring. Even on new character designs they did a better job than the first game. And the PWT was just the last thing to make it even more amazing.

Yes but a larger pool of new pokemon means a larger pool of shit pokemon designs like seel, the monkey trio or the genies. It better to have a smaller pool of new pokemon if it means better designs and more effort put into the actual game.

Pretty much this. The Abyssal ruins, all of eastern Unova, finding the old mons now scattered about, the spike in difficulty after the Plasma incident woke up the trainers, and becoming champion proper feels like a better send off to a game than fighting the RNG wearing a few different hats.
