What do you think is the worst part of your favourite Gen?

Gen V: Lack of shit to do in the post game. Also this is minor but I wish Castelia had more shit to do in it. even if it was a big city it felt kinda empty

Gen 5: The absurd evolution levels, and the fact that most cool mons were all at the end. I get pretty attached to whatever team I've made throughout the game, even if they're all shitmons, and it's not like I want to grind from zero if I'm this close to finishing either way.

I hated the fade in and out cutscenes of the 3d games, that with the bland facial expressions on the overworld models makes the 3ds games so agonizing to play through again. They should have just left most cutscenes out.
XY is better than SM imo; however they are both feel sluggish and droning.

Gen 2: Obscene level curve mid-game, not being able to get most useful items without hours of mystery gift grinding, and in general it feels like the two regions could have been way more fleshed out.

Sinnoh got away by adding a post-game area that can be completed in one hour. B2W2 also pulled the same stunt by gating the first 3 cities of BW.

The level curve was only bad if you tried to form a full team of 6 and are the type of person who switches out pokemon. Either way I wouldn't call it insane. I'll agree about items being hard to get, and the game lacking a lot of features. Every youtuber cries about how large the games were and how they pushed the GBC, but the file size is only about the same as mario land 2 around 250kb. There were GBC games that went up to 8mb in size like Donky Kong Country. Gamefreak was just getting lazy at a lot of parts. Really no reason at all to not have the safari zone. I also found it in poor taste as a kid that they turned the pokemon tower into a radio station. Around the same time my families graves were victim to grave robbers, and the idea of whatever happened to all those pokemon graves bothered me as a child. A radio tower would have made much more sense to be in Saffron anyway.

Lack of shit to do in R/S postgame.
Fishing system sucks ass.
Bike system was a fun idea, but badly implemented because you have to change bikes everytime you want to explore.
It's extremely difficult/tedious to catch 'em all.

Minor nitpick, gym leaders appear in the PokeNav despite them being unable to rebattle you in R/S.

You asked for only one, but oh well.

BW took too long to introduce a lot of its Pokemon. I like the idea behind "something new on every route" but they just held off too much and not only does the early game suffer from it due to a lack of choice, but the late game debuts suffer from the fact that you've likely already established a team. Also would have been nice if the late gamers were all single stagers with reasonable stats instead of having Deino or Heatmor style situations.

I don't know. I consider the trial you're going to go through building a team to face down the strongest version of the best Elite 4 and Alder to become champion proper a pretty satisfying post-game but then I've always found the Battle Facilities to be nothing more than glorified hamster wheels.
