When I was a kid and played Red for the first time, I used it on an Abra.

In my PARTIAL defense, I never intended to use the Masterball for legendaries and never have (where's the fun in that?), and also the bugger's Teleport was really pissing me off.

Additionally, that guide is from the UK, who didn't get Pokemon until much later than the US did, so if someone went and did look online they'd drown in fake cheats and speculation.

Zapdos. My logic at the time was Zapdos had no weakness-- it was flying so it was immune to ground, and since it was electric it wasn't weak to electric. The perfect pokemon, invincible.

My first Pokémon game was my friend’s Red. He didn’t let me use his Pokémon so I went out and caught a Spearow. I raised it, battling wild D-bags and defeated the last gym, and then solo’d the E4. Fearow was high 60s. I had one other mon which was a Krabby HM slave named Clipper. They were good boys and raped the E4 with me. I tell you this because Fearow is a powerful Pokémon if your heart is in it.

Someone might legit think a Fearow or tentacruel is rare, not thinking they can just evolve their prevos that are easy to find.

It happens in Go/Let’s Go. The evolved forms of shit can show up and it feels much more rare.

Catch rarity isn't subjective at all though? Spearow and Fearow are common as dirt on a lot of routes and while Tentacruel can't be caught in the wild Tentacool is literally the only thing you can find when surfing in most of the game.
