>>37513685I feel like in the world of pokemon people are just terrible at catching shit, as implied by every trainer only having pokes that are in the direct region they are usually hanging out at/live at. Yeah everyone who plays the game catches everything and actually travels to make competant teams, but I always felt the world is filled with incompetent people for npc's to make the player feel 'special'.
That or in the world of the games actually catching and training is harder than what the gameplay itself is, like how playing dark souls is 100 times easier than actually fighting undead with medieval weaponry.
It always took me out of the world when everyone is so retarded usually only 4-5 people can accomplish what you do in that world, but it wouldn't be a game for kids if it wqsnt super easy/everyone in the world wasnt useless.
