It's good, used to have one of those electronic plushies as a kid. I hate that pikachu no longer has a cry and is just voice acting, sounds really awful. Not a bad pokemon to shill or represent the franchise though

I like pikachu because my mom does, and it helps me bond with her over pokémon. Among my christmas presents this past year she gave me a really cute pikachu beanie.

I get that a lot of people like Pikachu... I just hate that it gets things like the light ball, alolan forms, exclusive z-moves, an entire valley dedicated to it along with clothing, hat forms, spikey eared pre-evo, cosplay pikachu, etc while my favorites get nothing

I liked Pikachu more when in the anime it was at first nothing special, then a special snowflake, now it's nothing special anymore.

It used to be a thing in the anime that Pikachu was viewed as a shitmon and raised eyebrows whenever Ash battled someone. Now, "Oh you're a pikachu trainer? Pikachu is so kawaii desu~".
