Pokemon Snap being good is a meme.
Imagine paying full retail for a 2 hour long home console game.
Imagine thinking a game whose replayability only comes from a high-score system on a home console was still relevant even then.
Imagine being in denial that you were merely blinded by Pokemania for getting a shitty spinoff and by nostalgia and when your loins quiver at the thought of this game now.

I can't judge about whether it was good or not because I never played Snap, but I agree with his other points. A sequel would sell like shit with no PokeMania backing it and not enough content to warrant full price. A sequel would also use some Pokemon not from gen I, so that might also cost them a few sales.

I think the concept of seeing Pokémon interacting in their natural habitat would be great considering all we get in the main games are shitty corridor encounters.

Does that mean I want a clone of the barebones N64 game? Absolutely not, but there’s plenty of potential in the idea if the developer put in the effort.

So many great memories with this game. I still remember trying to snap a good photo of Mew on the moon. Ended up having to do the bare minimum and use a shitty snapshot because it was too hard. There weren't enough apples in the world to get its shield down and take a good photo of it fast enough.
